Today on the local am radio in vancouver, http://www.cfun.com/ they were talking about how disgusted they are with grizzly bear hunting. The people, Nick and Val hosting the talk show have no grasp of nature or the outdoors. Our city slickers are so far removed nature that they have no frame of reference in regards to hunting or wildlife. They live in a sterile environment that sees no means to obtaining what is needed. Just clean transactions regarding money for time or services. The callers who phoned in were so disgusted with the fact that somethings life is taken, that they could not focus on logic and reason. For one; if you love bears so much, how much money are you putting into the research and conservation of grizzly bears? I bet its 0. Hunters put millions into the grizzly bears pockets annually through licensing, tags, taxes and through the guiding industry. I think that Nick and Val should do there research before spouting off on who is contributing and taking away from the grizzlys as habitat loss is the greatest threat to grizzly bears.

Yeah, my dad and I have been Grizzly bear hunting a few times in BC and the Outfitters are always complaining about the hippie crowd. Frankly, I think they are quite worried that grizzly bear hunting may cease to exist at some point.
